Farewell speech

It is hard to say goodbye to all of you. It is hard to think that this day would come, and now is time to have you in my memories. It is obviously a day that I was longing for, but all in all it is sad to know that I may not see you again. Therefore, I have some words for you; I want you to listen to this, since these words come from my heart and soul.

I want to thank you all for sharing with me all these years. We have had good and bad times together, but here we are, after all this time, we are still together as a team. Maybe we do not talk too much, may be we do not spend too much time together, and perhaps you do not like the way I am. However, and this is for all of you, I want to thank you, because you made me know some of the most important people in my life.

People say that you only know your real friends in your childhood, but some of you made me see that you can find a real friend even when you are an adult. I want to thank a friend of mine, she is present here, for listening to me. It may be hard for you to think that she could be that knid and nice, but that is the way she is, an undestangin and very special woman. Deep inside, I want to thank you for spending all this time with me. I also wanted to give the best of me, because I found a person so true, and so understanding, disregarding what people say about you. I really know you now, who ever thought that we could be friends some time?

I want to thank all of my teachers, for some of them made me find a treasure in the special ones. I may have not liked some teachers, because of the way the were and their attitued towards my classmates and the way they behaved in the classroom. But there are some really special teachers, and I will always remember you as masters and as friends. It was good to know that I could always count on you. You could always listen to every one of us, if we needed your help. And maybe that is more important than being so excesively academic in the classroom. You showed that you could be real humans, not real robots.

I hope to see you again some day, I want you to be even more successful than now. For my classmates, I hope you find your way through wisdom and bravery. You have made it so far, it was a way full of holes and difficulties, but you are here now. With your effort and diligence you have come this far, and in that way you must succeed. We are about to graduate and perhaps some of you may never see each other again, but I am sure that real friends will be in touch even in tough situations. I want you to be happy with what you have, be happy because you have made it this far and you are practically in the end of a phase, but obviously in the beginning of a new one. It is time to spread our wings and fly.

I hope to see you again some day. Thank you for your company, I will treasure it forever...
